PATS is Moving
Pacific Animal Therapy Society for the past 27 years has existed in the small second bedroom in Sadey Guy’s (our Founder) mobile home in Sidney.
Sadey had to take a giant step back out of the lime-light due to ill-health. To ease the load, and not have her health issues hampered by phone calls and faxes, the Executive Committee has decided to move PATS.
This is a very exciting time for PATS, as we will be changing the future with this move! We have 16 (sixteen) prospective members waiting in the wings, so we are still moving up and forward.
As of February 1st, 2015 the new PATS office will be open for business at 550-2950 Douglas Street, Office I (eye). The office will not be manned on a regular basis at this time, but we will keep you posted as to the proposed office hours. Mail can be sent to either the new office location or P.O. Box 131, Saanichton, BC V8M 2C3.
It is there that you will be able to: renew your membership, donate to our charity, purchase inventory: – t-shirts, sweat-shirts, dog & human tags, and view our of past events and future planned events.
Rest assured that everything we do as therapy pet owners remains the same as before, only our location is changing.
We will endeavour to maintain a status quo for phone numbers, our website, and the contacts you have had in the past with one exception — please contact Sadey only if you plan to visit her and her alone. Mail for her can continue to be sent to her home address.
Stay tuned here for the future news — and the GRAND RE-OPENING of PATS in it’s new location!

You are cordially invited to attend the 17th annual Blessing of the Animals service on Sunday, October 5th 4 p.m. at St. George’s Anglican Church in Cadboro Bay. The church is located at 3909 St. George’s Lane, off Maynard St. The animals are blessed during the service, a time when we gather to acknowledge the love and service they give, and recognize the need for us to advocate for the well-being of all animals. There will be a collection taken during the service, and the proceeds will be shared among local animal advocacy organizations. There will be refreshments for the humans, and pet treats for the animals. We hope to see you there!
Mount St. Mary Hospital (corner Fairfield and Quadra) welcomes you to a blessing of your pets on Saturday, October 4 from 10–12. The Blessing is a fun social event, including an opportunity to interact with experts, a silent auction, raffle prizes, goodie bags and lots of warm fuzzies! If the weather is inclement, displays without live animals will be moved into the Village Square in the hospital and the Blessing will take place under tents.
