Pacific Animal Therapy Society (PATS) is a volunteer-run animal therapy organization serving Vancouver Island for over 30 years.

Please note, PATS is on “paws”! Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, all pet therapy visits and events are currently on hold. We are working hard to get back to doing this important work as soon as it is safe to do so. Stay tuned for more information on our exciting re-launch!

If you would like to learn more about PATS, please reach out to us at info@patspets.ca. If you require information on the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, please visit the Island Health website.

Pacific Animal Therapy Society is grateful to serve on the traditional Coast Salish territories of the lək̓ʷəŋən and W̱SÁNEĆ peoples, including the Esquimalt, Songhees, Sc’ianew, T’Sou-ke, PacheedahtMÁLEXEȽ (Malahat), BOḰEĆEN (Pauquachin), SȾÁUTW̱ (Tsawout), W̱JOȽEȽP (Tsartip) and W̱SĺḴEM (Tseycum) first nations.

PATS recognizes and holds great respect for the resiliency of Indigenous culture and connection with the land we now share. Pet therapy may be a useful tool to help address the generational trauma withstood by many First Nations communitiesand we are continuously working to deliver our services in a way that is collaborative, culturally sensitive and respectful.
